A lot of small business owners, mainly new small businesses focus on the more urgent matters and run a tight ship. Only spending money when they really need to. it is easy to see why some business owners think that having a website is a kind of luxury item that they can do without.
Some even feel or believe that a Facebook page is enough to get across their online presence. But the truth is that you really do need a professional online image for your business. It is the first stop that potential customers will see and also make a long lasting judgment on.
More Customers
There are more and more people shopping online or looking online to find a local service. You can gain more customers by diving into the online world. More often than not, people turn to the internet when they have a problem. Searching for solutions is easy — but is your business a potential problem solver?
So by not having a website you will be missing out on a big piece of the pie.
Simple and Affordable
There are many small business owners you use third party services like yellow pages, or other directory listings or even Facebook, because they think it is either too expensive or difficult to setup a website for their business. Building and maintaining a website noways is by far cheaper and easier than ever before. Getting a website up and live is a good investment and when you spread that cost out over a 12 month period its probably cheaper than some other forms of marketing your business.
Build Business Credibility
If you don’t have an established online identity, then customers can’t find you. The most important thing is to be found.
You might be excellent at word of mouth marketing but you are still missing out of a ton of opportunities. Happy customers are quick to share what they think about your business or service online. Sharing ideas and thought through social and your blog will increase your credibility not just with customers but with Search Engines too!
Compete with the big boys
Don’t know how to compete with all the big names out there? Start by creating an incredibly beautiful website with a solid strategy and clear goals and you will smash the big guys to pieces.
Email@mydomain.com
I know there are many ways to actually achieve this but purchasing your own domain name and creating a more professional look to your customers will go a long way. Personally I find it hard to trust a small business that wants me to email them at john344@gmail.com or mybizname@xtra.co.nz. It just doesn’t resonate well.
